Sucker for guys in white Chucks
There's just something about a guy sporting a pair of white Chuck Taylors. It doesn't matter if they wear them with a pair of jeans and a polo or with chinos and a button down shirt. What is better than a guy with white Chucks?? A baby with itty, bitty white Converse!!
I'm in love with this KicksPix courtesy of my friend. I asked her to send me some Shoe Shots and she shared one of her baby boy's Chucks. How stinking cute are they?! My son had every color of these shoes when he was little. I didn't think to take a picture of them before I tossed them :(
Thanks Stacey for sharing!

Put your feet in..
Put your feet in...or as my friend Travis says, "Put ya feet in", is something he used to do when he was a kid. Instead of the 'bubble gum, bubble gum, in a dish', he would do this thing where everyone put their feet in a circle. Yeah, I never heard of it either. Travis would say it all the time whenever we couldn't decide on something so it stuck. Over the years we just ended up saying that phrase for no particular reason, along with DAS BOOT..but that's another's story!
So what does 'Put Ya Feet In' have to do with photos?? It makes me think of feet and the shoes on those feet. I have an affinity for taking photos of my feet whenever I am doing something new or exciting. You will always find a picture of my bare feet on my camera whenever we come back from the beach. Why wouldn't I memorialize my trip to San Francisco by taking a shot of my boots with the Golden Gate in the background?! I also just enjoy taking photos of shoes! Shoes say a lot about who we are. Some people always have to have the newest sneaker because they want to impress people. Some people wear Chucks that used to be black but are now splattered with paint and the rubber is falling off (she will remain nameless) because they make her feel grounded. Even in a world that's always changing, her tore up, faded Converse are always ready to walk any path. I also know a teenage boy who is sort of a nerd but always wears the coolest shoes! What does that say about him - he's not a label. Just because he's smart doesn't mean he doesn't have swag :) Well, on occasion anyways!
Sure, I love taking photos of beautiful places and faces, but pics of kicks are so much more fun! One day, I am going to create a book of all my feet photos and pics of kicks :) Until then, I will just share some here.

Wide Awake and Ready to Roar...
I don't usually take life directions from Katy Perry but sometimes she's right on point! I'm wide awake after falling from cloud nine and crashing from the high. I've hit the hard concrete and it hurt but I'm standing up. "You held me down, but I got up...already brushing off the dust. You hear my voice, you hear that sound..like thunder, gonna shake your ground. You held me down, but I got up...get ready 'cause I've had enough. I see it all, I see it now.."
Yep, that's right - I'm already brushing off the dust. I let someone take my happiness and joy but I'm taking it back. One of the things I pushed aside was my love for taking photos. To sit there and resent a camera because of the crap life throws at you is just stupid! Time to take it off the shelf and fill my life with new memories..because that's what a picture is..a memory. It can be a bad memory or a good one. I choose to make happy memories! That way, I don't have to throw away any pictures when I get mad, sad, or angry ;)
Always the one with a camera, as of late, I hardly ever have one with me. I went out with friends the other day and I felt like something was missing. I didn't have my camera. I had to rely on their cell phones to capture the fun and excitement of our night. End result of not having my sidekick...blurry pictures :/ Never again!! Even if I don't lug the dslr out with me, I will at least have my point and shoot!
